The Angel Oak Tree is located on Johns Island, just outside of Charleston, SC. It is a southern live oak, and estimated to be between 400-500 years old. It is believed to be one of the oldest living trees east of the Mississippi River.
This majestic giant stands over 66 feet tall, 28 feet in circumference, and produced shade covering over 17,000 square feet.
